Futuresonic 04

28 April to 8 May 2004

Futuresonic (now known as Futureverything) the festival of electronic music and media arts, made an appearance at Urbis in 2004. The theme for the year was  mobile technology and the possibilities offered by wireless and locative media.

As a Futuresonic04 partner, Urbis hosted the Mobile Connections exhibition and Conference and Mobile Locations City Experiences. The exhibition enabled participants to wander the city and experience it as they never have before, examining how its boundaries are expanded as geographical, cultural and perceptual space are pushed to the limits by new developments in technology.
